My name is Robert Brown, owner and principal planner for Oakview Land Use Planning.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
My educational background is in Planning, and I’ve been a Land Use Planner for over twenty-two years. My area of specialization is Municipal development review and planning application submission co-ordination.
In April of 2022, after seeing the ongoing challenges faced by many first time developers and even seasoned professionals, I began operations with the intention of applying my experience to the benefit of those in need. My years of experience have resulted in a wide range of resources developed over years of interaction with different professionals. You could say I’m the guy who knows someone that can assist in that area.
Knowledgeable Land Use Planning
With the explosion in development and ever-growing need for housing, the number of projects has grown to the point that planners are in short supply, particularly in smaller communities.
These communities are experiencing unanticipated growth, which isn’t always well received. Therefore, I strive to contribute by using my knowledge to help clients realize their vision.
I like to keep things simple, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is that I always stick to the point. If the project has too many hurdles and I feel that I can’t add value, I provide a crystal clear picture so clients can make informed decisions. My honest and direct approach is what I believe has made me successful in my field.
Readily Available
I’m flexible and try to come up with creative solutions that resolve planning problems created by growth. In addition, I have a reputation for being responsive. It includes answering the phone, returning calls, and responding to emails quickly.
Since Planning is time-consuming, I often only see the concept, so when the construction starts, I proudly get to witness the fruits of both mine and many other’s labour. As a result, seeing a project completed fills me with immense satisfaction. It’s also rewarding to receive referrals from old colleagues.
When I’m not planning spaces, I love golf, curling, watching F1, and some occasional DIY projects.
I am a part-time firefighter in my community and a supporter of the agricultural sector having grown up on a livestock and cash crop farm.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise as a Land Use Planner in southwestern Ontario, I invite you to contact me. Please call (519) 809-4539 or email rbrown@oakviewlup.ca.
Sincerely,
Robert
